After the RedHawks (7-7) took a 3-0 lead on their first drive, the Bulldogs scored the next 18 points to claim the win and move to 9-4 on the season.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The RedHawks went on top 3-0 with a 33-yard field goal from Dom Dzioban on their first offensive series. A Keith Reynolds 32-yard run on Miami's second play from scrimmage helped the Red and White move into field goal range.
- A 15-play, 82-yard drive got the Bulldogs on the board in the second quarter, as Dylan Lynch booted a 28-yard field goal to tie the game at 3-3. A blocked RedHawk punt then gave Fresno State the ball at the Miami 10-yard line, and FSU eventually took its first lead with five minutes remaining in the half at 6-3 on a 23-yard kick by Lynch. The Bulldogs' kicker added a 25-yard field goal on the final play of the half to give Fresno State a 9-3 advantage at intermission.
- Neither team scored in the third quarter, but Fresno State put together a 13-play, 70-yard drive to grab the game's first touchdown with 11:12 left in the contest. The two-yard pass to Richie Anderson III made it 15-3, but the ensuing two-point conversion attempt was no good. Miami marched to the FSU 38-yard line on its next drive but turned the ball over on downs to end the threat with 8:32 to play.
- Fresno State capped the scoring with a 37-yard field goal with 2:56 left on the clock.
