SCOUTING REPORT: In the mix for duty at tailback ... the progress he's able to make during summer workouts will determine whether or not he'll be a part of Miami's offensive game plan.

2011: Appeared in eight games, making his debut against Missouri (Sept. 3) ... gained 62 all-purpose yards, 60 of which came on three kickoff returns.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Gateway High School, the same school that has sent current RedHawks Jordan Stevens and fellow freshman Dayonne Nunley to Miami ... a two-way player, Bey had 96 carries his senior year for 976 yards (10.2 yards per carry) and 15 touchdowns ... Rivals.com named Bey one of five nation-wide 'Super Sleepers' in the class of 2010 ... earned first-team all-defense at the U.S. Army All-America Combine ... a member of Pittsburgh Post-Gazette's Fabulous 22 ... first-team all-stater ... prep coach was Terry Smith.
