SCOUTING REPORT: The 2010 letter winner emerged from spring drills as the starter at left guard ... coaches say he grew as a player, figuring out the speed of the game, and took a big leap forward ... has the chance to be a special player.
2011: Appeared in all 12 games, starting five times at left guard and center for the RedHawks.
2010: Received his first career start at Miami in game three vs. Colorado State, playing left guard in the RedHawks' 31-10 victory at home ... also saw playing time at Missouri and at Akron.
2009: Redshirted.
HIGH SCHOOL: His Elder High team was 13-2 and played in the state semifinals ... first-team all-city and all-league selection ... second-team all-state choice ... a member of the National Honor Society ... prep coach was Doug Ramsey.
