Attended La Salle High School lettered all four years in baseball, where he was a pitcher and also played second base, third base and catcher played wide receiver on the football team, lettering one year holds the school record for most innings pitched in one season Second Team All-GCL his junior season was the winning pitcher in his team's sectional championship Preseason Division I Second Team All-State and Second Team All-GCL prep coach was Joe Voegeli Club team: Midland Redskins.
