OXFORD, Ohio— The Miami University soccer team earned a 2-1 comeback win against Morehead State Thursday night at Bobby Kramig Field. The RedHawks move to 1-1-0 with the result in their home opener. MSU is now 1-1-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Kayla Perfect almost opened the scoring in the 21st minute but missed narrowly over the bar.
Dominique Popa kept Morehead State off the board in the 21st minute with a leaping grab save off a header.
The Eagles took the lead, 1-0, in the 30th minute from a free kick taken by Charlotte Lee from 20 yards out.
The RedHawks answered right back in the 33rd minute on a rebound opportunity, scored by Millie Cook and assisted by Katie O'Malley.
In the 64th minute, Maris Jennings scored the game-winning goal for Miami after a cross by Cook.

NOTES

Jennings scored the second goal of her career while totaling the second-most shots in her career (three).
Cook began her 2026 campaign in the 14th minute and then scored less than 20 minutes later. She also registered a goal and an assist in the same game for the first time in her career.
Miami's defense only allowed three shots in the first half and one shot in the second half. The overall shot total favored Miami, 15 to 4.
