Top 2025-26 Moments: #8 Baseball Repeats as Regular-Season Champions

Our Welling and Co. Jewelers Sparkling and Dazzling Top 10 Countdown continues at No. 8 with Miami Baseball capturing the regular season title for the second consecutive year in the Mid-American Conference.
OXFORD, Ohio -- In its final regular season game, Miami Baseball secured the No. 1 seed in the upcoming MAC Tournament after securing a 15-8 victory over Akron on May, 16. With this win, Brian Smiley reached 100 career victories as a head coach and made history by securing back-to-back MAC regular season championships, which was the first time that a Miami program won two consecutive MAC regular season championships since 1973-1974. The Red and White finished the regular season 38-15 (25-8 MAC), breaking the previous single-season program record of 23 conference wins that was set last year.
