GREENSBORO, N.C. - The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) released its 2026 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division I All-America Teams on Friday morning, with Miami outfielder Tommy Harrison earning All-America Third Team recognition. This is Harrison's second All-American recognition, and he is also the first position player for Miami to be named an All-American since Mike Ferris and John Slone in 2004.Â
Harrison was previously named the MAC Player of the Year, earned First Team All-MAC honors and was selected as a First Team East All-Region member for his efforts during the 2026 season. The redshirt junior from Cleveland, Ohio had a monster season at the plate, as he concluded regular-season play ranked top-10 in the country in batting average (.402), on-base percentage (.523) and RBIs (85), which broke Miami's all-time single-season record for RBIs.
He finished the season leading the MAC in home runs (17), OPS (1,205), RBI (85) and slugging percentage (.698). He was a three-time selection as MAC Player of the Week this season, including during the final week of regular-season play, where he helped secure the No.1 seed heading into the MAC Tournament with four home runs, including a grand slam, and went 9-for-15 with 13 RBIs. Defensively, Harrison made 51 putouts in right field, posting a fielding percentage of .988. As a whole, Harrison recorded 150 TB, 85 RBI, 83 hits, 58 runs, 41 BB, 16 doubles, 17 home runs, four stolen bases, 1.205 OPS, .698 SLG%, .507 OB% and a .386 batting average.
NCAA Division I All-America teams are selected by the ABCA All-America & Coach of the Year committee, which is chaired by Brian Green of Wichita State University. The committee also includes Mitch Canham (Oregon State University), Chris Curry (University of Arkansas at Little Rock), Dean Ehehalt (Monmouth University), Mike Glavine (Northeastern University), Jeff Mercer (Indiana University), Butch Thompson (Auburn University), and Tom Walter (Wake Forest University).
The ABCA All-America Team was first recognized in 1949 and now spans nine divisions: NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, NJCAA Divisions I, II, and III, the Pacific Association Division, and high school.Â
