ZIONSVILLE, Ind. – The Miami University golf team competed in the first round of the MAC Championship today at the Club at Holliday Farms. After the first round of play, Miami sits in solo second place, shooting 12 over par as a team. Liam Nelson posted the best score of the day for the RedHawks with a 70 (-1). He is currently tied for second place among 45 individuals.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Nelson (70) shot one under par in his first round with five birdies, three of which came consecutively on the back nine holes. He is currently tied for second place.
Brett Podobinski (75) shot four over par today with three birdies. He heads into the second round tied for 12th.
Tyler Anderson (75) shot four over par today with five birdies. He heads into the second round tied for 12th with teammate Podobinski.
Cameron Pero (76) shot five over par today with two birdies. He heads into the second round tied for 19th place.
Michael Weber (80) shot nine over par today. He heads into the final round tied for 36th place.
