SANFORD, Fla. – Miami's Tommy Harrison was named the Perfect Game Co-Player of the Week for the first time this season on Tuesday. Harrison exploded for four home runs in last weekend's series at Akron to help Miami Baseball seal its second consecutive regular-season MAC title. Harrison went 9-for-15 (.600) at the plate against the Zips (including a 5-for-5 showing Friday) with a slugging percentage of 1.400 and drove in 13 runs, scoring seven. He hit a grand slam Thursday, a two-run homer and a solo shot Friday and capped off a monster weekend with a three-run blast Saturday.
Harrison and the No. 1 seed RedHawks will begin the MAC Tournament on Thursday, May 21 at 2 p.m. in Avon, Ohio, against the lowest seed to advance from the first round of the tournament games.
