CLEVELAND, Ohio– Miami's Tommy Harrison was named the MAC Baseball Player of the Week for the week of March 30 after leading the RedHawks to sweep Ball State for the first time since 2007. Across four games, he went 8-for-17, batting in 13 of Miami's 52 runs. He also hit home runs in all three games against the Cardinals, including a grand slam Friday and a two-run homer that gave Miami the edge in a 7-6 victory on Saturday.
Harrison's dominant week at the plate brings him to 10 home runs on the season and a conference-leading 52 RBIs. The redshirt-junior from Cleveland, Ohio, is now batting .420 through 29 starts.
Harrison and the RedHawks will return to action this Wednesday, facing Cincinnati in the Nuxhall Classic at 5 p.m.
