RedHawks Ready to Get Postseason Underway in Denver

RV/NA Miami will open postseason play this weekend with a best-of-three NCHC Frozen Faceoff quarterfinal series at No. 7/7 Denver. The RedHawks (18-14-2, 9-13-2 NCHC) earned the tournament's seven seed after a split at Omaha last week (5-3 loss, 4-2 win). The Pioneers (21-11-3, 17-6-1 NCHC) own a nine-game unbeaten streak after a home sweep of Arizona State (5-2 and 4-1 victories) last week and are the No. 2 seed.
The games at Magness Arena are set for Friday, March 6 at 9 p.m. ET, Saturday, March 7 at 8 p.m. ET and Sunday, March at 8 p.m. ET (if necessary). The games will be broadcast on NCHC.tv, with Greg Waddell's audio broadcast streaming on MiamiRedHawks.com.
Kocha Delic (11-14-25) leads Miami in points, while David Deputy (15-7-22) tops the RedHawks in goals and Vladislav Lukashevich (2-18-20) has a team-high 18 assists. The RedHawks have benefited from balanced scoring all season, with 10 different players that have at least 17 points. Matteo Drobac has started all but one game in net and is 17-14-2Â with a 2.67 GAA and .913 save %.
Reigning NCHC Defenseman of the Week Shaun McEwen and head coach Anthony Noreen met with the media Wednesday to preview the NCHC quarterfinal matchup.
