Boule vaults second-best mark in Miami program history

Several RedHawks Move Up Miami's Top 10 Lists at Jewel City Invite

HUNTINGTON, W.Va.- The RedHawk indoor track team traveled to Huntington, W.Va. for the Jewel City Invite at Marshall University. Mia Boule's pole vault this weekend of 4.00 meters is the second-best in program history and third-best in the MAC this season. Emily Eterovich's vault of 3.95 is the third-best jump in program history and fourth in the MAC this year. Riley Betz ran the 10th best 60m dash in program history.

The RedHawks will travel to the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis to compete in the Heartland Invitational next Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Ella Garvin jumped 1.70 meters to secure the win in high jump.
- Boule and Eterovich swept first and second place, respectively, in pole vault, with Boule vaulting 4.00 meters and Eterovich 3.95 meters. Addison Crichley took fourth with a vault of 3.50 meters.
- Kate Hallie threw a personal record of 13.98m and took second place in shot put. Her teammates Sophia Ili (11.85), Ava Luczak (11.40), Caroline Kagy (11.00) and Sara Cupp (10.74) placed seventh, 13th, 14th and 19th, respectively.
- In the weight throw elite throwers division, Hallie threw 15.30 for eighth place. In the collegiate division, Ili threw 14.40 for third place (her personal record), Sharron Kagan threw 13.56 for sixth place, Kristen Berwanger threw 13.41 for eighth place and Kagy threw 13.06 for 11th place.
- Grace Streek took sixth place in the mile, running it in 5:15.50 and Emma Berres placed 12th, with a time of 5:31.77.
- In the 400m dash, Rachel Smith took fourth, running a 57.49. Keena Sanders took seventh, running a 57.97, Sophia Scavuzzo took 15th, running a 1:00.21 and Addison Smith placed 21st, running a 1:01.85.
- Betz and Camryn Dunn placed fourth and fifth, respectively in the 60m final. Betz running a 7.661, and Dunn running a 7.667 in the 60m event. These runs are the 10th and 11th best times in program history, respectively.
- In the 200m dash, Lauren Jessup-Aiken (25.31) placed seventh, Betz (25.46) placed 10th, Dunn (25.62)Â placed 11th, Kate Pratt (26.80) placed 24th and Sydney Harmon (27.53) placed 29th.
- The team of Sanders, Eve Traficanti, Avery Emerson and Rachel Smith finished third in the 4x400m relay, completing the race in 3:49.63.
- Reilly Worthington took second place in the shot put with a throw of 15.89, a personal record. Placing not far behind were Blake Presley (15.72) in fourth and David Lorek (15.31) in fifth.
- In the elite throwers division of weight throw, Owen Billeter threw 17.63, his personal best, placing fourth. In the collegiate division, Richard Obioha placed second throwing a personal best of 16.11 meters. Lorek (14.97) placed seventh and Worthington (14.22) placed 14th in the collegiate division.
- In the 3K, Nick Dunn ran a personal record of 8:41.35, placing 12th.
