Women's Swim/Dive Tied for Fourth After Day Three of MAC Championships

AKRON, Ohio — The Miami University women's swimming and diving team continued the 2026 Mid-American Conference (MAC) Championships, as the women's team is currently tied for fourth place among nine teams with 311 points. The other team standings include Akron in first with 511.5 points, Ohio in second with 360 points, Ball State in third with 336.5 points, Buffalo in fourth with 311 points (tied with Miami), Eastern Michigan in sixth place with 180 points, UMass in seventh with 147 points, Toledo in eighth with 121 points and Bowling Green in ninth with 97 points.

How it Happened:
- Ella Ziegert opened day three with a 10th-place finish (55.16) in the 100 fly.
- Gracie Gregory claimed first in the 400 IM with a time of 4:16.83. Rebekah Gurley followed behind with a seventh-place finish (4:21.01).
- In the 200 free, Kaylin Herbet grabbed fifth (1:48.16) and Julia Waechter took eighth (1:50.26).
- Natalie Gilson recorded a time of 1:01.95. in the 100 breast, a time that placed her in 10th.
- Up next was the 100 back, where Chrisna Bezuidenhout led the Red and White with a ninth-place finish (53.90).
- In the 200 free relay, Herbet, Gilson, Waechter and Jenna Halliday produced a fifth-place finish with a time of 1:31.18.
- Sydney Rice moved on to Saturday's 3m dive final with 297.95 points, while Mia Meinhardt finished 16th overall with 231.20 points.
