HOW IT HAPPENED
- 6:03 2nd (Miami 1-0) | The RedHawks opened the scoring in the middle stanza after Michael Phelan spun away from a defender and worked a pass to Casper Nassen behind the Huskies' goal. Nassen fed Hay for a deep one-timer that bounced off a SCSU player's skate and into the net.
- 7:55 2nd (St. Cloud State 1-1) | St. Cloud State answered back less than two minutes later on a power-play goal. Wylie barely held the puck in at the blue line to keep the play alive and then eventually netted a long-range goal off assists from Noah Urness and Nolan Roed.
- 10:19 2nd (Miami 2-1) | Miami went back on top after Vladislav Lukashevich connected with Emmons on a pass from one blue line to the other. Emmons skated the puck in and finished past SCSU goaltender Patriks Berzins for what proved to be the game-winning goal. Doug Grimes initially deflected the puck back to Lukashevich and earned the second assist.
NOTES
- Emmons scored his third career goal and lit the lamp for the second-straight game; he was named the First Star of the Game.
- Drobac won his third start in a row and was recognized as the Second Star.
