Senior Team Takes Fourth at Britannia Cup

NOTTINGHAM, England—The Miami University senior synchronized skating team made its 2025-26 international debut at the Britannia Cup this weekend, taking fourth place in a 10-team field.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- On Friday evening, the Red and White skated their short program and finished with a total score of 69.07.
- The team's technical element score was 36.42 and the program component score was 32.65.
- The RedHawks ranked fifth out of 10 teams after Friday's portion of the competition.
- On Saturday, Miami's free skate earned a total score of 133.35, with a technical element score of 68.61 and a program component score of 64.74.
- This gave the RedHawks a final score of 202.42, good for fourth place in the overall standings. Team Unique (FIN) took first place with a total score of 237.44.
UP NEXT
- The Miami senior team will stay in Europe and travel to the Hevelius Cup in Gdansk, Poland next weekend (Jan. 16-17), while the RedHawks' collegiate team will skate at intermission of the Miami Hockey home game on Friday, Jan. 16.
