Skating Announces Domestic Competition and Exhibition Schedule for 2026-27

OXFORD, Ohio— Miami University synchronized skating head coach Katey Nyquist announced the program's 2026-27 domestic competition and exhibition schedule this morning. The RedHawks will begin the year by skating at intermission during the Oct. 30 Miami Hockey game and then hosting their free annual season-opening exhibition on Saturday, Oct. 31 at 3 p.m. in Oxford.
In November, Miami's senior team will compete at the Fall Classic in Irvine, Calif. (Nov. 6-7) and the Boston Classic in Norwood, Mass. (Nov. 21-22). The collegiate team will participate in the Kickoff Classic in Kalamazoo, Mich. Nov. 21 and then take part in the Dr. Porter Classic on Dec. 5 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
2027 opens with the collegiate team heading to the Midwestern Championships in Wichita, Kan., followed by the Tri-State Competition in Midland, Mich. on Feb. 6. The senior team's international assignments will be announced at a later date.
Both Miami teams will take the ice once more at Steve "Coach" Cady Arena for their nationals send-off exhibition on Feb. 20 ahead of the 2027 U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships in Henderson, Nev. (Feb. 26-27).
