RedHawks Score Late to Top Akron 1-0

AKRON, Ohio — The Miami University soccer team posted a 1-0 win against the University of Akron during a Sunday away match. The RedHawks move to 6-5-0 (3-2-0 MAC) with the result and are one of only three teams in the conference to already earn three MAC victories. Akron is now 3-4-3 (0-2-2 MAC).

- Miami took the lead in the 82nd minute off a corner header from Millie Cook that hit the cross bar and was kicked over the line by Maris Jennings.
- Goalkeeper Dominique Popa produced her second shutout of the week and the 17th of her career (fourth-most in Miami history).
NOTES
- Jennings scored the first goal of her two-year career.
- Cook recorded her first assist as a RedHawk.
- Popa's shutout was her fifth this season, the most in the MAC.
