
Five RedHawks Receive Academic All-District Honors

OXFORD, Ohio-- Five members of the Miami University baseball team earned Academic All-District recognition, College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced this afternoon. Evan Appelwick, Blake Buzzeo, Carson Byers, Cooper Katskee and Dominic Krupinski were recognized with the award for their efforts on the field and in the classroom.
Appelwick, a redshirt junior from Madison, S.D., is a Finance major with a 3.65 GPA. Buzzeo, a senior from Stow, Ohio, is studying Kinesiology with a 3.55 GPA. Byers, a junior from Mattawan, Mich., holds a 3.54 GPA as a Human Capital Management & Leadership Major. Katskee, a redshirt sophomore from Greenwood Village, Colo., is a Psychology major with a 3.76 GPA. Krupinski, a junior from Livonia, Mich., carries a 3.68 GPA as a Sports Management major.Â
A select number of Academic All-District honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced in July.Â
