
RedHawk Trio Recognized as Academic All-District

OXFORD, Ohio— Miami University student-athletes Ella Rigel, Adam Smith and Abby Suszek were each named to College Sports Communicators' Academic All-District Cross Country/Track and Field Team today. This award recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom.
Rigel, a senior from Leipsic, Ohio, graduated with a 3.72 GPA in Kinesiology. She ranked 17th in the East and 40th in the nation for the hammer with a mark of 62.69m.
Smith, a senior from Cincinnati, Ohio, earned a degree in Marketing with a 3.8 GPA. He ranked 28th in the East and 75th in the country for the discus at 55.83m.
Suszek, a senior from Mentor, Ohio, double-majored in Psychology/Strategic Communication and graduated with a 3.57 GPA. She ranked 48th in the East and 75th in the nation with a 400-meter time of 52.96 seconds.
