SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.— The Miami University golf team is tied for sixth place with Pacific after day one of the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate. The second round was suspended and will resume play along with the third round following on Sunday.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- Brett Podobinski is tied for sixth with a score of 69, three below par. He recorded a birdie early into the round on the second hole and went on to post six birdies during the first round.
- Morgan Blythe (71) ended the round with a score of one below par with three total birdies.
- Sam West is tied for 71st with an even-par round, 72.Â
- Cameron Pero (78) posted two birdies, ending the day six strokes above par.Â
- Tyler Anderson (70) competed as an individual, with two birdies.
- Michael Weber recorded four birdies on his way to a 79.
