Padavic Set to Compete at NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Committee announced today the swimmers who qualified for the 2025 NCAA Division I Women's Swimming and Diving Championships, and Miami University senior Madeline Padavic will compete in the meet in two events.
Padavic qualified for the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 51.52. Padavic's 100-yard backstroke time is the MAC and program record. Padavic's time is tied for the number 29 spot in the field. Padavic also qualified for the 50-yard freestyle with her time of 22.50 (tied for the 72 spot in the field). Padavic will compete in the 50-yard freestyle on Thursday, March 20 and in the 100-yard backstroke on Friday, March 21.
A total of 322 participants (281 swimmers and 41 divers) will compete in the championships. Swimmers qualified for the championships by meeting the established minimum time for the events in which they entered.
The championships will be held March 19-22 at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington. Washington State University will serve as the host.
ESPN+ will provide live digital coverage for preliminary and finals sessions Wednesday through Saturday. Tape-delayed coverage of the women's championships will be on ESPNU at 7 p.m. Eastern time, Wednesday, March 26.
