Miami Golfers Compete in The Indy at Arlington

RICHMOND, Ky.— Four Miami University golfers took part in The Indy at Arlington Saturday as individuals. Tyler Anderson led the RedHawk participants with a score of 143 (76-67—143) at the event, which was hosted by Eastern Kentucky University. The entire Miami contingent placed 22nd or better in the 60-man field.

The RedHawks host the Sweetens Cove Intercollegiate beginning Monday, March 24 in South Pittsburg, Tenn.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Anderson (76-67—143) tied for seventh, shooting three under par in the second round and three over for the tournament. He birdied four of his final eight holes in round two to post the lowest second-round score in the field.
- Liam Nelson (73-74–147) finished tied for 15th place after beginning his day with 10 consecutive bogey-free holes.
- Matthew Mattioli (71-77—148) was one over par in the first round, trailing only four of the 60 golfers. He ended the day tied for 19th.
- Nathan Vonderhaar (78-71—149) tied for 22nd place after shooting a one-over 71 over the final 18 holes (the fifth-best showing in that round).
