Miami Takes Home Silver in the Senior Competition

COLORADO SPRINGS, Col. — A season-best performance from the Miami University senior team helped the RedHawks take silver at the U.S. Synchronized Skating Championships. A clean skate on both nights at Broadmoor World Arena clinched a second-place finish in the event as the Red and White posted season highs in both the short and free portions.

- On Friday night, the Miami senior team skated its short program and posted a final score of 70.04.
- For their short program, the team's technical element score was 37.26, and the program component score was 32.78; both were second-best in the competitive field.
- On Saturday night, the Red and White were the sixth team to skate and posted a free skate score of 140.11, the third-highest of the night.
- Miami's technical element score came in at 72.40 and the program component score came in at 67.71. The team's final score totaled 210.15.
- This was the senior team's highest score of the season.
- The Haydenettes won the event with a final score of 229.71, and the Skyliners were the third-place team with a final score of 209.51, less than a point behind the RedHawks.
- This concludes the competitive season for Miami's collegiate and senior teams.
