
Appelwick Named MAC Scholar Athlete of the Week

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Miami University redshirt junior infielder Evan Appelwick was named the Mid-American Conference (MAC) male Scholar Athlete of the Week, the conference announced today.
Appelwick had five hits and eight RBIs across four games for Miami Baseball last week, including a 12-2 victory over East Tennessee State. His hits included a double, a two-run home run and a grand slam that turned a 1-1 tie into a 5-1 RedHawk advantage. Additionally, Appelwick walked twice, averaged .312 at the plate and rounded the bases four times. He extended his hitting streak to six games.
Appelwick is a Finance major with a 3.77 GPA in the Farmer School of Business from Madison, S.D.
