
Popa, Taylor Named to MAC All-Tournament Team

CLEVELAND-- The Mid-American Conference announced its All-Tournament Team at the conclusion of Fridayās soccer championship match, and Miami junior goalkeeper Dominique Popa and senior midfielder Shae Taylor were both recognized.
Popa played in all 110 minutes of the RedHawks' shutout against Bowling Green Tuesday, tying her for the most shutouts in a season in program history (11). Miami's defense only allowed four shots in 110 minutes to a team that averages over nine shots per 90 minutes. In Popa's third season with Miami, she played every minute and posted a 0.78 GA/AVG which was top-five in the MAC and the fifth-best mark in program history.
Taylor also played in every minute of the double overtime match on Tuesday against BGSU, recording the most shots on the team (two) and adding to her total (25) of the third-most shots on the roster this season. The British Columbia native posted career bests in every offensive statistical category including two goals and five total points.
