OXFORD, Ohio – Three RedHawks scored in double-figures as the Miami University women's basketball team posted an 88-49 win over Cedarville on Friday night. Amber Tretter had a game-high 18 points and 10 rebounds for the RedHawks (2-0), while Ilse de Vries registered career-highs in points (15) and rebounds (8). Brooke Blumenfeld chipped in with 14 points.

How it Happened:
- Tamar Singer, de Vries and Clara Gonzalez Planella combined the score Miami's first 13 points, en route to a 13-2 RedHawks' lead midway through the first quarter. Following a 7-4 Cedarville run, the RedHawks held a 17-9 advantage after 10 minutes of play.
- Miami held the Yellow Jackets scoreless for the first three minutes of the second quarter and pushed their advantage to 26-9, with the help of six-straight points from Tretter to begin the second stanza. The Yellow Jackets once again responded, outscoring the RedHawks 14-8 over the next five minutes, to shrink Miami's advantage, 34-23. The RedHawks closed on a 9-1 run and led 43-24 at the half.
- Five different RedHawks scored in the first five minutes of the third quarter as the RedHawks extended their lead, 54-26, midway through the third quarter. Miami pushed their lead to 30, 62-32, as Singer found Blumenfeld on the fast break for an open layup with 90 second to play in the third. Miami maintained a 67-37 lead after three quarters of play.
- Mio Sakano posted the first five points of the fourth quarter for a 72-37 Miami advantage one minute into the fourth quarter. Miami continued to push the play in the fourth, extending their lead to as many as 41 points late into the fourth quarter.
