OXFORD, Ohio – Jennifer Beardslee, Miami's Assistant Athletic Director of Wellness Services, has announced that Megan Elsbree has been promoted to Associate Athletic Trainer.
 
Elsbree joined Miami back in July, 2023, and has worked directly with synchronized skating and men's and women's swimming and diving for the past two years. She oversaw treatment and rehab for over 100 student-athletes and maintains up-to-date medical documentation for all athlete treatments and rehabilitation plans.
 
"I am thrilled to announce the promotion of Megan Elsbree to Associate AT," said Beardslee. "Megan has truly earned this next step in her AT career. She is an extremely hard worker who has shown professionalism and leadership traits the moment she walked through the door."  
 
She earned her masters of science in interdisciplinary studies from Missouri State in December 2023. During her time in Springfield, Mo., she served as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Evangel, working with the NAIA university's football, soccer and softball teams.

Elsbree received her Bachelor of Science in athletic training from Illinois State in 2021, gaining experience with the Redbirds' football team during the 2019 season. Between 2019 and 2021, she also worked assisting the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Clinic (SMART), Gamma Phi Circus and Illinois Wesleyan's football, basketball, softball and men's soccer teams.
