RedHawks Finish Top Five in Austria

SALZBURG, Austria—In the first skate of 2025 and their first international skate of the season, the Miami University senior team competed at the CS Mozart Cup in Salzburg, Austria. The Red and White finished fifth out of the nine-team field.

- On Friday evening, the Red and White skated their short program routine and finished with a total score of 58.61, which put them in seventh place in the competition.
- The team's technical element score came in at 30.45 and the program component score came in at 29.16.
- These scores put the team six points ahead of eighth place and less than two points behind the fifth-place team.
- On Saturday night, Miami skated their free skate routine and posted a total score of 121.76, with a technical element score of 62.06 and a program component score of 59.70.
- This gave the RedHawks a final score of 180.37, good for fifth place in the free skate and fifth place in the overall competition.
- The Helsinki Rockettes won the competition with a total score of 225.15, and both teams representing the United States finished within the top five.
