Late Goal Sees Miami Draw at Tennessee Tech

Cookeville, Tenn.- The Miami soccer team drew 2-2 with Tennessee Tech in the first road game of the season at Tech Soccer Field on Sunday afternoon. The RedHawks move to 1-0-1 and Tennessee Tech is now 0-1-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Miami appeared to take the lead after a long throw by Juliann Kidd took a bounce in the box over Conrad and went in off the post but it was later denied as no player made contact with the ball.
  • Katie O'Malley broke free down the left side and crossed it into the box where it eventually found Hamlett for her second of the game in the 61st minute.
