OXFORD, Ohio— Miami Baseball signee Ivan Luciano was selected in the second round of the 2024 MLB Draft by the Arizona Diamondbacks Sunday night. Luciano, a Puerto Rico native, was the 64th overall pick.
"He is a left-handed hitting catcher that can really block and receive. His skill set is undeniable, but what sets him apart is his makeup. When you spend five minutes with him you are drawn to his personality – he is a born leader," said Coach Smiley.
