Craft Joins Men's Basketball Program

OXFORD, Ohio – Miami University head men's basketball coach Travis Steele announced the addition of Kam Craft to his program. Craft will join the Red and White for the upcoming 2024-25 campaign.

PRIOR TO MIAMI:
Averaged 2.6 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.27 assists during his freshman season at Xavier (saw limited action after suffering a left knee injury)- Recorded a career-high 11 points versus Southeastern Louisiana University
- Missed the 2023-24 season due to injury
HIGH SCHOOL:
- Attended Buffalo Grove High School in Illinois
- Four-star recruit
- Ranked No. 65 in the final 247Sports composite rankings
- Selected for the 2022 Jordan Brand All-Star Game
- Named Co-Mid-Suburban League Player of the Year after averaging 23.0 points and seven rebounds as a sophomore
- Recorded 27.1 points, 7.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists as a junior
- Over three seasons at Buffalo Grove, Craft totaled 1,694 points, 488 rebounds, 152 steals, 144 assists and 42 blocks
- Averaged 21.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game for The Skill Factory in Atlanta, Ga. during his senior season
- Craft shot 44.4 percent the three-point line (79-of-178) and 89.2 percent from the free-throw line (99-of-111) while competing with The Skill Factory

- "I am thrilled to add Kam Craft to the Miami Family. I have seen Kam play since his Sophomore Year in high school, and have always wanted to coach him. He is a great fit for Miami academically, socially and athletically," said Steele. "Kam has a gift to really score the basketball, and he can do it in a variety of ways. He is a player that really impacts winning!"
