Cardinals Clip RedHawks 3-2 in Game One

OXFORD, Ohio— The RedHawks lost to Ball State 3-2 Friday despite limiting the Cardinals to just four hits. Ryland Zaborowski hit his sixth home run of the season to highlight Miami's offense. Miami falls to 12-15 (7-6 MAC) with the loss while Ball State moves to 19-12 (6-7 MAC) with the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Zaborowski hit a home run over the left field wall in the bottom of the sixth to pull Miami back within one run.
  • Justin Gorski attempted to right the ship for Miami with a single up the middle in the bottom of the ninth, but the Cardinals turned a double play to cut the RedHawks' rally short.
