
RedHawks in Second With One Round to Play at MAC Championship

WESTFIELD, Ind.— Miami Golf is in second place after day two of the MAC Championship at The Club at Chatham Hills. Captain Danny Fisher and sophomore Michael Weber are the top performers for Miami, as they are tied for second place individually headed into the final round.

The RedHawks will chase a championship Sunday, April 28 in the third and final round of the tournament, which begins at 9 a.m.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Weber shot a 67, or five below par, to lead the RedHawks during round two after making birdies on nine holes. This brings his overall score to seven under par through two rounds.
- Fisher is also seven under par individually after shooting three below par, or 69, in round two. He made four birdies and an eagle during round two.
- Morgan Blythe is tied for 17th individually after shooting a 72 (even par) today, which included five birdies. His overall score is one over par heading into round three.
- Brett Podobinski made a 77, or five over par, during round two, bringing his overall score to five over par. He is in 26th as an individual.
- Matthew Mattioli shot four above par during round two, taking 75 strokes. He is tied for 30th place overall with a two-round score of seven over par.
- Miami's team score is 566, or 10 below par. The RedHawks are three strokes behind first-place Ball State (-13) and five strokes ahead of third-place Toledo (-5).
