COLUMBUS, Ohio — The RedHawks are tied for ninth out of 18 teams after round one of the Robert Kepler Intercollegiate with a score of 11-above par (295) as a team. Michael Weber leads the squad with a score of 72, or one over par.

- Weber is tied for 14th overall. His round included four birdies.
- Sam West put up four birdies and shot a 74, or three-over par, in round one. He is tied for 32nd individually.
- Matthew Mattioli finished three-above par after making 13 pars and a birdie. He is tied for 32nd overall.
- Danny Fisher made a 75, or four-over par, in round one after making 12 pars and a birdie. He is tied for 47th as an individual.
- Brett Podobinski was six-over par in round one after making three birdies. He is in 75th individually.
- Miami's team score for the first round was 295. They are tied with Kansas City for ninth and are just two strokes behind eighth place teams #28 Ohio State and Iowa. The field is tight, with first place Kent State atop the leader board with a score of 287.
