RedHawks in Third at Highland Meadows Intercollegiate

SYLVANIA, Ohio — The RedHawks are in third out of 11 teams at the Highland Meadows Intercollegiate after two rounds of play. Danny Fisher is leading the squad at seven under par with one round to go.

The third and final round of the tournament begins Tuesday with a shotgun format at 9 a.m., where the RedHawks will look to remain on the podium and overtake Indian Hills and first-place Minnesota.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Fisher scored a 68, or three below par, in round one and a 67, or four below par, in round two. He made 11 total birdies on the day and is tied for second individually out of 75 golfers.
- Matthew Mattioli finished even with par after shooting a 72 in round one and a 70 in round two. He is tied for 18th individually and his score included seven total birdies and 10 back-to-back pars in round one.
- Brett Podobinski is also tied for 18th after finishing even with par through two rounds. Podobinski made five birdies in round two, where he shot two below par.
- Michael Weber made seven total birdies and shot a 75 in round one and a 70 in round two. His two-round score was three above par.
- Cameron Pero finished nine over par through two rounds with scores of 74 in round one and 77 in round two.
- Sam West, who competed as an individual, was even with par in round one and four below par in round two. His score was highlighted by an eagle on hole nine, a par five, as well as seven total birdies. He is tied for seventh overall.
- Evan DiSanto, who also competed as an individual, is tied for 21st after shooting one over par. He shot one below par in round two, where he made 15 pars and two birdies.
- Miami's team score is five below par after shooting eight below par in the second round as a team. They are five strokes behind second place Indian Hills CC.
