RedHawks Impress at We Fly Track and Field Challenge

MUNCIE, Ind.— The Miami University track and field team traveled to Ball State University this weekend to compete in the We Fly Track and Field Challenge on Friday and Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The RedHawks will travel to Ohio State University and Wake Forest University next weekend to compete in the Jesse Owens Classic on April 19th and 20th and the Wake Forest Invitational on the 19th.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- On the field for the women, Santornya Ralliford finished in second place in the discus event with 48.45 meters. Jessica Rhodes competed in the discus event as well, and she finished in eighth place with a time of 43.15 meters. In the high jump event, Elle Miller finished in second place with 1.60 meters. Ella Garvin (1.60 meters) and Abbi Deisch (1.55 meters) also competed in the high jump event and finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Ella Rigel finished in second place in the women's hammer event with 56.80 meters. In the women's pole vault event, Mia Boule finished in second place with 3.65 meters. Emily Eterovich also competed in the women's pole vault event, and she finished in fourth place with 3.65 meters. Ralliford also finished in third place in the women's javelin event with 37.74 meters.
- The 4x400m relay team of Camryn Dunn, Abby Suszek, Erin Connors, and Lucca Agate finished in first place with a time of 3:49.98. In the women's 4x100m relay, the team of Dunn, Suszek, Ella Scally and Agate finished in third place with a time of 46.44 seconds. Kayla Walters finished in fourth place in the women's 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.31 seconds. In the women's 400-meter dash, Suszek (55.91 seconds) and Agate (57.18 seconds) finished in second and fifth place, respectively. Scally finished in fifth place in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 11.94 seconds, and Dunn was right behind her finishing in sixth place with a time of 12.00 seconds. In the women's 400-meter hurdles, Connors finished in fourth place with a time of 1:03.29. In the women's 200-meter dash, Suszek (24.44) and Scally (24.45) finished in fifth and sixth place, finishing within .01 seconds of each other! Dunn also ran in the 200-meter dash, and she finished 10th with a time of 24.68 seconds.
- In the women's 1500-meter run, Annie Christie finished in first place with a time of 4:30.16. Jenna Sayle also ran in the 1500-meter run, and she finished in second place right behind Christie with a time of 4:36.03. In the women's 5000-meter run, Ella Boate (18:13.73) and Cara Razavi (18:31.67) finished in third and fifth place, respectively.
- On the field for the men, Adam Smith finished in third place in the shot put event with 52.09 meters. Owen Billeter (45.13 meters) and Felipe De la Maza (43.53 meters) also competed in the men's shot put event and they finished in eighth and ninth place, respectively. In the men's high jump event, Logan Vowles finished in fourth place with 1.90 meters. Matthew Howard (49.00 meters) and CJ Johnson Jr. (46.72 meters) finished in second and seventh place in the javelin event. In the men's triple jump event, Andrew Farrow finished in second place with 14.11 meters. Farrow also finished in fifth place in the men's long jump event with 6.86 meters. Quinn Kroneker finished in sixth place in the men's pole vault event with 4.40 meters.
- For the men, the 4x100m team of Julian Wagner, Joey Valeski, Angelo Vassilakis, and Leo Bouldin finished in fourth place with a time of 41.98 seconds. The other 4x100 team of Mitchell Wiemuth, Josh Mikulka, Remy Schulz, and Micah Schuster finished right behind them in sixth place with a time of 42.89 seconds. In the men's 110-meter hurdles, Mikulka finished in ninth place with a time of 15.66 seconds. In the men's 400-meter dash, Valeski finished in second place with a time of 48.85 seconds. Schuster also ran in the 400-meter dash, and he finished in eighth place with a time of 49.61 seconds. In the men's 400-meter hurdles, Mikulka finished in fifth place with a time of 56.85 seconds. Jaxson Tober also ran in the 400-meter hurdles, and he came in 10th with a time of 58.27 seconds. In the men's 200-meter dash, Valeski (21.81 seconds) and Bouldin (21.86 seconds) finished in ninth and 10th place. In the men's 100-meter dash, Wagner finished in fifth place with a time of 10.59 seconds. Weston Naville (4:02.32) and Petros Sanchez (4:04.70) finished in fifth and seventh place in the men's 1500-meter run. In the men's 4x400m relay, the team of Schuster, Valeski, Tober and Mikulka finished in third place with a time of 3:21.78.
