HOW IT HAPPENED
- One run came in via a walk to give Kentucky an early 1-0 first inning lead.
- Blake Buzzeo led off the third for Miami with a single to left field. Tyler Gordon reached on a fielding error, advancing Buzzeo to second, and both advanced again on a wild pitch. With the go-ahead run at second, Ty Batusich hit a two RBI single and put Miami up 2-1.
- Still with zero outs, Baker singled to put Batusich at second. Zach MacDonald walked to load the bases and Ryland Zaborowski followed up with an RBI single to stretch Miami's lead to 3-1.
- An RBI single by Kentucky made the score 3-2 in favor of the RedHawks.
- Batusich took an HBP, setting up Baker to crush a two-run homer over the left field wall and handing Miami their largest lead of the game at 5-2 in the fifth.
- The momentum shifted for Miami in the bottom of the seventh as Kentucky capitalized on a string of walks and HBPs to put up six runs and extinguish Miami's lead.
- Kentucky added a solo home run in the eighth to cap off a 9-5 victory.
MIAMI GAME NOTES
