RedHawks in Ninth after Border Olympics Day One

LAREDO, Texas— The RedHawks are tied for ninth place at the University of Houston's Border Olympics after two rounds of competition at Laredo Country Club. Danny Fisher is tied for 10th overall after finishing four below par on the day.

- Fisher shot a 72 in round one and a 68 in round two. His second-round score included five birdies and 12 pars.
- Cameron Pero shot par in both rounds and finished even. He made seven total birdies through two rounds.
- Morgan Blythe finished one over par after shooting a 74 in round one and a 71 in round two. Blythe's second round included four birdies.
- Matthew Mattioli made a 73 in the first round and a 74 in the second, putting him at three above par on the day.
- Michael Weber finished four strokes over par, shooting a 77 in round one and a 71 in round two. His second round included four birdies.
- Miami's team score after the first two rounds is 573, which is three below par. The RedHawks improved by nine strokes from round one to round two.
