RedHawks Finish 11th at Houston's Border Olympics

LAREDO, Texas — The Miami University golf team finished in 11th place out of 17 teams at Houston's Border Olympics at Laredo Country Club. Danny Fisher was the team's top finisher, tying for 15th place individually among a field of more than 90 participants.

The RedHawks will send individual competitors to compete at the Wolfpack Invitational in Raleigh, N.C. on Feb. 24-25. The next team competition is scheduled for March 11-12 at the Ross Collegiate Classic in Southern Pines, N.C.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Fisher (72-68-72–212) finished four below par through three rounds. His final round was highlighted by three birdies.
- Morgan Blythe (74-71-70–215) shot two below par during round three, which included four birdies. He finished with a three-round score of one below par and tied for 26th individually.
- Michael Weber (77-71-72–220) was even with par during his final round, which included three birdies. He finished tied for 44th individually.
- Matthew Mattioli (73-74-76–223) was seven over par through three rounds of play.
- Cameron Pero (72-72-79–223) also posted a three-round score of seven over par.
- Miami finished one below par as a team with a score of 863 (291-283-290).
