RedHawks Compete at Music City Challenge in Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tenn.— The Miami University track and field team traveled to Nashville this weekend and competed in the Music City Challenge on Friday and Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
Some of the RedHawks travel to Findlay, Ohio on Friday, Feb. 16 to compete in the Flag City Tune-Up while other Miami student-athletes will compete in the Alex Wilson Invitational in South Bend, Ind. the following day.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- On the field for the women, Ella Scally finished in second place in the seeded long jump event with 5.99 meters. Emily Eterovich finished in fourth place in the pole vault event with 3.75 meters. Chloe Rickson competed in the open long jump event, and she finished in eighth place with 5.51 meters. In the women's high jump event, Elle Miller finished in fifth place with 1.65 meters. Mia Boule finished 10th in the pole vault invite with 3.81 meters. In the women's shot put event, Jessica Rhodes finished 11th with 11.07 meters.
- In the women's 60-meter hurdle qualifier, Kayla Walters finished in 11th place with a time of 8.80 seconds and qualified for the next round. In the next round, Walters came in 12th with a time of 8.77 seconds. In the women's 60-meter qualifier, Camryn Dunn finished in sixth place with a time of 7.63 seconds and moved on to the next round. In the next round Dunn tied for 10th and finished with a time of 7.62 seconds.
- The women's 4x400 team of Camryn Dunn, Lucca Agate, Erin Connors, and Abby Suszek finished in fourth place with a time of 3:47.76. In the women's 5,000-meter event, Annie Christie finished in second place with a time of 16:29.48. In the women's 3,000-meter event, Jenna Sayle came in 10th with a time of 9:55.15.
- In the men's 60-meter qualifier, Julian Wagner finished in sixth with a time of 6.87 seconds and qualified for the next round. Wagner finished in 11th place in the next round with a time of 6.85 seconds. In the 800-meter event, Vincenzo Matarazzo finished in sixth place with a time of 1:51.71. In the men's 400-meter, Micah Schuster finished in ninth place with a time of 49.27 seconds. In the men's 3,000-meter event, Chris Perkins finished in 11th place with a time of 8:20.17.
- On the field for the men, Logan Vowles finished in third place in the high jump with 1.99 meters. Ben Riegel finished in eighth place in the shot put event with 16.06 meters.
