HOW IT HAPPENED
  • 14:42 1st (UND 1-0) | On the power play, Jackson Kunz tipped in a pass from Boisvert to take a 1-0 lead for the Fighting Hawks. Owen McLaughlin started the play for the visitors, and after Miami goalie Ethan Dahlmeir ended up without his stick, Kunz finished the backdoor feed to make it 1-0.
  • 2:07 2nd (Miami 1-1) | Raimonds Vitolins lifted a shot over North Dakota's T.J. Semptimphelter to tie the game 1-1 early in the second period. Conner Hutchison held the puck in at the right point, and Brayden Morrison retrieved it behind the net to set up Vitolins in front.
  • 2:25 2nd (UND 2-1) | Dalton Andrew gave the Fighting Hawks the lead back just 18 seconds later. Abram Wiebe sent the puck along the left boards to Cody Croal in the neutral zone, with Croal dumping it in for Andrew to chase down. Andrew was able to work free in close to the net to give the visitors a 2-1 advantage.
  • 6:35 2nd (Miami 2-2) | Miami capitalized on a coach's challenge and the ensuing major penalty against North Dakota to grab a pair of goals during a five-minute power play. First, Ryan Sullivan leveled the game at 2-2 after pouncing on the rebound from Christophe Fillion's backhanded shot. Waldron initially controlled the puck and made the pass to Fillion for the first attempt.
  • 10:40 2nd (Miami 3-2) | Four minutes later, Waldron grabbed the RedHawks' first lead of the night, exploiting an open net following Fillion's smooth pass across the UND crease. Sullivan created the scoring opportunity by stealing the puck back from the Fighting Hawks in the offensive zone and relaying it to Fillion, with the captain earning the secondary assist.
  • 14:04 2nd (Miami 4-2) | A one-timer from Michael Feenstra from the center of the far faceoff circle upped the Miami lead to 4-2 and gave Feenstra his first collegiate goal. Waldron made a spinning pass to get the puck to Feenstra during the 4-on-4 situation. Vitolins also picked up an assist on the play.
  • 14:37 3rd (UND 4-3) | Croal made it a one-goal game seconds after a power play expired, making it a 4-3 score with just over five minutes remaining in regulation. Wiebe handled the puck on the boards before passing to Andrew Strathmann. Strathmann tipped it to Croal for the backhanded goal.
  • 18:17 3rd (UND 4-4) | The Fighting Hawks found the equalizer with an extra-attacker goal late in the contest. Jayden Perron scored off a pass from McLaughlin, flipping the puck up into the net. Mac Swanson earned a secondary assist on the play.
  • 19:37 3rd (UND 5-4) | Boisvert notched the game-winner in the final minute, scoring from close range after Jake Livanavage skated the puck the length of the ice.
