How it Happened:

Enjulina Gonzalez hit back-to-back three pointers and Chandler hit a pair from the foul line to extend the lead, 16-7. APSU banked in a three late in the quarter for a 16-10 Miami lead after 10 minutes of play.
- Miami extended their lead, 25-17, with help from two three-pointers from Tretter five minutes into the second. The Governors responded with a 12-7 run before Gonzalez drove between multiple defenders for a layup with six seconds left in the quarter. Miami led 34-29 at the half.
- The RedHawks stormed out of the locker room. Chandler opened the scoring with a triple and moments later Núria Jurjo snuck past the defense for a layup. Chandler then knocked in another triple and Jurjo found Singer for an easy bucket for a 44-30 Miami advantage less than three minutes into the quarter. APSU finished the third on a 9-4 run, cutting Miami's lead, 48-39 entering the final stanza.
- Austin Peay's run continued into the fourth. The Governors used a 9-2 un in the first five minutes of the quarter to cut the lead, 50-48. Katey Richason and Singer free throws stretched the advantage, 53-49 with 1:49. APSU cut the lead to one, 53-52 with one minute to play.
