Miami Loses Close Match at Eastern Michigan

YPSILANTI, Mich.- The Miami soccer team fell to Eastern Michigan by a score of 1-0 in a road match Sunday afternoon. The RedHawks move to 5-3-4 (1-2-2 in MAC) and Eastern Michigan is now 5-3-3 (1-1-3 in MAC). Â
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Rosalie Takacsy put in a corner towards the back post that found Tayla Maddock who put it across goal and in for the opener in the 38th minute.Â
- Taylor Hamlett had a chance to tie the game in the 66th minute but her shot struck the post and came out in the box.
NOTES
- Hamlett had six of Miami's nine shots.Â
- Dominique Popa had seven saves.Â
- Miami had four corners to Eastern Michigan's seven.Â
- The RedHawks lost for just the second time in the past nine matches.
UP NEXT:
Miami is back in action Thursday, Oct. 10 against Akron. The match begins at 7 p.m at Bobby Kramig Field.
