Golf in Third After 18 Holes at Dayton Flyer Invitational

Kettering, Ohio — The Miami golf team carded an 18-hole opening round of 290 to sit in third place after day one of the Dayton Flyer Intercollegiate. Round two was suspended due to darkness.Â

 HOW IT HAPPENED:Â
- Morgan Blythe opened the tournament with an even par 71 to sit in 10th
- Michael Weber shot 74 to begin the day, but is 3-under par in his second round with two holes to play.
- Brett Podobinski led the way for Miami in the opening round with a 1-under 70.
- Cameron Pero (74) and Matthew Mattoli (75) rounded out Miami's lineup.
- Sam Mortell (73) and Tyler Anderson (79) competed as individuals for the RedHawks.
