RedHawks Finish Fourth in Pittsburgh

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — The Miami University golf team finished fourth out of 16 teams in the RedHawk Intercollegiate. The RedHawks advanced one place from the previous day, ending at two under par and coming in seven strokes ahead of James Madison. Miami was one of only four teams to produce a team score under par. Cameron Pero led the Red and White with a score of 208, or five below par.

The RedHawks will compete in the Flyer Invitational in Kettering, Ohio on October 21 and 22.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Pero (68-68-72–208) tied for sixth place, scoring three birdies in his final round.
- Matthew Mattioli (69-70-72–211) shot 13 birdies and ended the tournament tying for 13th place.
- Michael Weber (69-74-72–215) finished with a score of 215, or two above par. He shot three birdies early in the third round.
- Morgan Blythe (74-76-68–218) shot eight birdies throughout the tournament, ending with a score of 218, or five above par. He moved up 24 places from the previous day.
- Brett Podobinski (74-74-72–220) tied for 42nd place, ending with a score of seven above par.
- Other RedHawks in the event included Tyler Anderson (+4), Sam Mortell (+9), Nathan Vonderhaar (+10), Sam West (+12) and Liam Nelson (+14).
