RedHawks Compete in Two Separate Meets

LOUISVILLE, Ky./ INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—Members of the Miami University track and field team competed at two different meets this weekend, with some RedHawks at the Lenny Lyles Invitational and others taking part in the IUPUI Jaguar Invitational.

The RedHawks will compete in the Bellarmine Classic Friday, Feb. 2 in Louisville, Ky.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- On the field, Ella Scally set a PR for the third meet in a row in the long jump event, finishing in first place with 6.02 meters! She now moves into second place all-time for the RedHawks. Chloe Rickson (5.34 meters) and Elle Miller (5.28 meters) also finished in the top 10 in the long jump event finishing in eighth and 10th place, respectively. Addison Hoover competed in the weight throw event and finished 10th with 14.69 meters. The RedHawks had three different women finish in the top five in the pole vault event. Mia Boule finished in first with 3.80 meters, Emily Eterovich finished in third with 3.70 meters and Grace Hicks finished in fifth with 3.45 meters. In the shot put event, Santornya Ralliford finished in fifth place with 12.74 meters. Elle Miller finished in fifth place in the high jump event with 1.61 meters. Ella Garvin also finished in the top 10 in the high jump, coming in ninth place with 1.57 meters.
- On Friday at the Lenny Lyles Invitational, the RedHawks had three runners finish in the top 15 in the women's 3000-meter event. Annie Christie was the highest placing RedHawk, coming in seventh place with a time of 9:46.63. Julia Rushing was right behind her, taking ninth place with a time of 9:58.14. Jenna Sayle finished in 14th place with a time of 10:10.64. In the 3000-meter event at the Jaguar Invitational, Cara Razavi (10:46.30) and Ella Boate (10:49.20) finished in ninth and 10th place, respectively.
- On Friday at the Jaguar Invitational, Lisa Froberg finished in second place in the women's pentathlon event with a total of 3295 points. In the 60m hurdles, she finished in fifth with a time of 9.55 seconds for 798 points. In the high jump she finished in seventh place with 1.46 meters to earn 577 points. The next event was the shot put, and Froberg finished in third place with 10.38 meters and 554 points. The last field event was the long jump and she finished in fourth place with 5.05 meters and 573 points. Her best event was the 800-meter, and she finished in second with a time of 2:22.24 and 793 points.
- In the women's 400-meter event, Abby Suszek finished in first place with a time of 56.20 seconds! Lucca Agate also ran in the 400 and she finished in sixth place with a time of 58.11 seconds. In the women's 60-meter qualifiers, Camryn Dunn finished in sixth place with a time of 7.61 seconds and this time was enough for her to qualify for the finals on Saturday. In the finals, she finished in second place with a time of 7.59 seconds, matching her PR that she set last weekend. In the women's 60-meter hurdle qualifiers, Kayla Walters qualified for the finals by coming in fourth place with a time of 8.89 seconds. In the finals, Walters finished in seventh place with a time of 8.93 seconds. In the 200 meter event, Camryn Dunn finished in sixth place with a time of 24.99 seconds. For the second week in a row, she set a PR and she beat her previous score by .19 seconds! Abby Suszek (25.07 seconds) and Lucca Agate (25.13 seconds) also ran in the 200 meter and finished in ninth and 10th place. The women's 4x400 team (Camryn Dunn, Lucca Agate, Erin Connors, and Abby Suszek) finished in second place with a time of 3:50.90.
- In the qualifiers of the 60m hurdles, Josh Mikulka finished in eighth place with a time of 8.74 seconds to make the cut for Saturday's final. In the finals, he finished in seventh place with a time of 8.69 seconds. In the men's 60-meter qualifier, Julian Wagner finished in second place with a time of 6.92 seconds. In the finals on Saturday, he finished in third with a time of 6.87 seconds. In the 200-meter event, Leo Bouldin finished in 12th place with a time of 22.08 seconds, and Julian Wagner was right behind him coming in 14th with a time of 22.31 seconds. In the men's mile, Nate Price came in fourth place with a time of 4:14.01. The RedHawk men had 3 top-10 finishers in the 400-meter event, led by Leo Bouldin in fourth place with a time of 49.81 seconds. Micah Schuster was right behind him finishing in fifth place with a time of 50.02 seconds. Joey Valeski finished in eighth place with a time of 50.79 seconds.
- On the field for the men, Andrew Farrow finished in second place in the triple jump event with 14.20 meters. Logan Vowles finished in fifth place in the men's high jump event with 1.94 meters. In the men's long jump event, Sammy Deep (6.55 meters) and Andrew Farrow (6.38 meters) finished in ninth and 10th place. Ben Riegel finished in fourth place in the shot put event with 16.00 meters.
The RedHawks will compete in the Bellarmine Classic Friday, Feb. 2 in Louisville, Ky.
