RedHawks Impress at Indiana Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.— The Miami University RedHawks had a great weekend at the Indiana Invitational, producing top-10 finishers all across the board.

The RedHawks will be competing in the Lenny Lyles Invitational next weekend in Louisville, Ky.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the women's 5000-meter event, Ava Nuttall finished in first place with a time of 16:40.60, finishing a whole minute in front of second place. In the women's mile event, Annie Christie was the highest placing RedHawk, taking fifth place with a time of 4:59.49. Nora Zubillaga finished in 14th place in the mile with a time of 5:11.66. In the women's 800-meter, Eve Traficanti finished in sixth place with a time of 2:17.95, and Zubillaga came in 10th with a time of 2:18.70.
- On the field for the women, Ella Scally set another PR in the long jump event, coming in third place with 5.88 meters. Scally topped her previous PR, set in last week's Rod McCravy Invitational, by .7 meters. Chloe Rickson finished ninth in the long jump event with 5.30 meters. In the high jump event, Elle Miller finished in fourth place with 1.60 meters and Ella Garvin finished in seventh with 1.55 meters. Ella Rigel was the highest placing RedHawk in the weight throw event coming in ninth place with 16.19 meters. In the pole vault event, Mia Boule finished in fourth place with 3.67 meters, and Emily Eterovich finished in seventh place with 3.67 meters. Santornya Ralliford came in 10th in the shot put event with 12.26 meters.
- Abby Suszek finished in first in the 400-meter with a time of 56.42 seconds. Lucca Agate took ninth in that race with a time of 58.89 seconds. In the women's 4x400 relay, Erin Connors, Lucca Agate, Mae Reed, and Abby Suszek finished in second place with a time of 3:52.58. In the women's 60-meter qualifiers, Ella Scally finished in eighth place with a time of 7.77, with a time good enough to qualify for Saturday's finals. In the finals, Scally finished in fifth place with a time of 7.86 seconds. In the women's 60-meter hurdle qualifiers, Kayla Walters qualified for the finals by coming in seventh place with a time of 8.96 seconds. In the finals, Walters finished in fifth place with a time of 8.84 seconds. In the 200-meter event, Abby Suszek (25.17) and Camryn Dunn (25.18) finished in fourth and fifth place, respectively. This time marks a new PR for Dunn and she beat her previous score by .23 seconds!
- In the qualifiers of the 60 meters, Julian Wagner finished in fifth place with a time of 6.89 seconds to make the cut for Saturday's final. He took fifth place in the final with a time of 7.00 seconds. In the 200-meter event, Leo Bouldin finished 10th with a time of 22.35 seconds, and Julian Wagner was right behind him coming in 11th with a time of 22.38 seconds. Bouldin also finished in sixth place in the 400 meters with a time of 50.39 seconds.
- Patrick Wills ran in the 3000-meter race, and he finished in third place with a time of 8:15.93. This time marks a new PR for Wills as he beat his previous time by 3.69 seconds! Johnny Sayle also competed in In the men's 3000-meter, and he finished in 11th place with a time of 8:33.07 In the men's mile, Jack Klein finished in seventh place with a time of 4:11.08. Chris Perkins ran in the 800-meter race and finished in seventh place with a time of 1:55.16. Klein also ran the 800 meters and finished in 12th place with a time of 1:56.41.
- On the field for the men, Reilly Worthington finished 10th in the shot put event with 15.03 meters. Ben Riegel participated in the shot put event and finished in 13th place with 14.60 meters. Riegel also competed in the weight throw event and he finished in 14th place with 13.88 meters.
The RedHawks will be competing in the Lenny Lyles Invitational next weekend in Louisville, Ky.
