RedHawks in Fourth at Virtues Intercollegiate

NASHPORT, Ohio — The host RedHawks are tied for fourth out of a field of 17 at the Virtues Intercollegiate. Freshman Morgan Blythe leads Miami heading into the third round with a two-round score of four below par.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
The Redhawks finish up at Ohio's top public golf course with split tee times at 8:30 and 10:30 tomorrow morning.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Blythe made a four foot putt for eagle on hole 16 during round two, which, accompanied by four birdies, led to a season low round of 68. He is tied for ninth out of 88 individuals. He also eagled on hole 16 in round one, where he finished even with par.
- Matthew Mattioli had 10 total birdies in the first two rounds and finished the day three below par. He is tied for 12th individually.
- Sam West, who competed as an individual, shot 14 pars in round two to shoot a second round score of two below par. He is tied for 21st overall.
- Cameron Pero was even with par during both rounds. He shot 14 pars in each of the two rounds and totaled the most pars of all players in the tournament. He is tied for 33rd.
- Danny Fisher finished one below par in round one and two above par in round two.
- Michael Weber was four above par in round one and eight above par in round two.
- The RedHawks' team score for the first two rounds was six below par. They will look to make a push tomorrow, as they are just eight strokes out of the top two and three strokes out of the top three.
