Miami Finishes Twelfth at Gopher Invitational

INDEPENDANCE, MN — The RedHawks finished in twelfth place at the Gopher Invitational hosted by University of Minnesota. Morgan Blythe and Brett Podobinski each shot two below par in the final round.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

Newcomer Blythe (72-70-73–215) finished just two above par over three rounds. He had three final round birdies and finished in the top third of the leaderboard.
Podobinski (74-76-73–223) made thirteen pars and two birdies during the final round, shooting the best score of the day (73) for the RedHawks along with Blythe.
Danny Fisher (68-71-75–214) finished with a three round score of one over par. This score tied him for 18th place overall out of 75 participants.
Cameron Pero (72-69-77–218) finished five above par through three rounds. He shot three birdies during round three.
Matthew Mattioli made four birdies on the back nine of round three and finished the round nine over par.
The RedHawks totaled 867 strokes, shooting a team score of 14 above par.
