Five RedHawks Named Academic All-MAC

CLEVELAND, Ohio—Five members of the Miami University baseball team received Academic All-MAC recognition for the 2023 season, the conference office announced today. Zach MacDonald, Zach Maxey, Martin Sosna, Nate Stone and Brian Zapp were honored from the RedHawks' squad.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
MacDonald owns a 3.6 GPA in Business Analytics, while Maxey carries a 3.5 GPA in the same major. Sosna, a Finance major, has a 3.28 GPA. Stone and Zapp are both Accountancy majors, with 3.93 and 3.78 GPAs, respectively.
